The Heart Ball

The elegant ballroom of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington DC recently glittered extra when the American Heart Association held its annual Heart Ball.  Among the evening’s programme was a talk by a sudden cardiac arrest survivor who held everyone captive with her story. The guests were treated to a sumptuous dinner and a lively auction followed by drinks and dancing into the wee hours of the morning.   The music provided by an excellent live band along with the signature cocktails, gave the event an extra special touch. The Association had many benevolent guests in attendance through whose generosity more lives will be saved and help will be available in those heart stopping moments that require medical attention.
